Landcare heroes from across Australia have secured a brighter future for over 50 species of threatened Australian animals thanks to the WIRES Landcare Wildlife Relief and Recovery Grants Program. Read more about the program here: https://landcareaustralia.org.au/news/50-threatened-species-benefit-from-landmark-wildlife-grants-program/ From Leschenault Catchment Counciland Shire of Dardanup building Collie River Eaton Possum Sanctuary to rescue Western Ringtail Possums from the brink of extinction, to Arid Recovery protecting Burrowing Bettongs, Greater Bilbies and Shark Bay Bandicoots by drought proofing their wildlife reserve in South Australia's arid north, every project involved in this program has made a huge difference for fire and drought affected native animals. With this fantastic program now wrapped up, we are looking forward to our next collaboration with WIRES - stay tuned!
